Media library

Where: /media, or Insert Media inside the composer

Every file you upload or generate lands in the media library, so you can reuse it without hunting for the original. The page and the composer’s modal are the same component.

  • Files you uploaded from the composer or from this page.
  • Images and video generated by AI, see AI generation.
  • Segments produced by the story cutter.

Results are paginated rather than infinite scrolling, so a large library stays usable. Below 768 px the grid drops to three thumbnails per row.

Images are capped at 10 MB each and video at 1 GB, and the accepted types are JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP, TIFF and MP4. UseNadia reads the real type from the file contents, so renaming the extension does not help. A phone’s camera roll is fine as it is: HEIC photos become JPEG and QuickTime videos become MP4 on upload. The details, and what to do when an upload is refused, are on Uploads and media.

Besides posts, the library is the picker for:

Deleting removes the file from the library. Posts that already published are unaffected, since the platform holds its own copy. A scheduled post that still uses the file keeps it: the file itself only leaves the storage under the retention rule below, once nothing needs it any more.

UseNadia only needs a file’s bytes while it pushes them to the platforms. Every night, videos that no longer serve leave the storage:

The video Leaves the storage
Was published 7 days after its last publication
Was never put in a published post 21 days after its upload
Is in a scheduled post, a draft, a post in error, or a repeating post Never, as long as that post exists
Is on a content card not yet published Never, as long as the card exists

Images stay. So do a video’s thumbnail and, for a published video, its transcript and a small low-definition copy: the calendar and the public preview keep their picture, and a past post shows Media expired where the video used to play.

Republishing a post, or reusing a video, more than 7 days after it was published is refused with a clear message: upload the file again. To publish the same video again later, set the post to Repeat when you schedule it: a repeating post keeps its video until you delete it.
