The post composer
Where: Calendar, Create Post, or click any empty slot; also Schedule on a content card
The composer is where nearly all of UseNadia happens. It is one full-screen modal, opened from the calendar — or from the Content board, in which case it arrives pre-filled with the card’s channels, script and final video.
The layout
Section titled “The layout”| Area | What lives there |
|---|---|
| Top | The channel picker, grouped by platform |
| Left | The editor, plus a Settings band for the selected channels |
| Right | A live preview of the post as each selected channel will render it |
| Footer | Tags, repeat, the date and time, and the publish buttons |
The preview column is the part people underuse. It renders the post per platform, so a line break that collapses on one platform or a title that truncates on another is visible before you schedule rather than after.
The flow
Section titled “The flow”Pick channels
One row per platform — icon, name, a
2/3counter and select all — and under it one chip per account. It lists every channel of the organisation, not just the current brand’s: sending one video to three Instagram accounts and two TikTok accounts in a single pass is the normal case. The current scope decides what is pre-ticked. Scope All channels ticks nothing. With a single channel in the whole organisation, it is ticked and the picker disappears.
Write once
The globe tab is the default. What you write there goes to every selected channel. The editor, its character counter and the emoji picker are described in Writing the post; see Global vs per-channel when one channel needs different text.
Add media
Drag a file in, paste an image, or open the media library. See Images and video, and AI generation for a generated one. Extra parts — comments under an Instagram post — are added under the editor, see Threads and comments.
Fill in per-channel settings
Instagram wants a post type; TikTok wants a privacy level and a posting method; YouTube wants a title and a visibility. The composer will not let you save without the required ones, see Links and validation.
Schedule
Pick a time, then Save as Draft, Add to calendar, or Post Now. See Scheduling.
One settings block for a whole platform
Section titled “One settings block for a whole platform”When several accounts of the same platform are ticked, the Settings band shows one block for all of them — the platform icon, and a line like Applied to your 3 Instagram accounts. What you type is copied across as you type.
Set them one by one breaks the grouping and gives you a block per account, with an Apply to my other Instagram accounts link for a one-off copy. One setting for all puts it back.
When something is wrong
Section titled “When something is wrong”Saving validates the post against every selected channel. If one fails, nothing is saved and the composer takes you to the fault: on a desktop it switches to that channel’s tab (the settings band for a missing setting, the editor for an empty post) and shows the error; on a phone it scrolls to the block instead. See Links and validation.
On a phone
Section titled “On a phone”Below 768 px the composer is a single column with a single scroll: channels → editor → settings → Post Preview (folded, a tap unfolds it) → the send bar.
Two things change on purpose. The per-channel avatar row is hidden — it is the only control that takes you out of global mode, and on a phone you would end up stuck inside one channel with no way back, so writing from a phone is always global. And a validation error scrolls you to the block at fault instead of switching tabs.
Leaving without saving
Section titled “Leaving without saving”Closing the composer asks for confirmation, because nothing is kept:
Are you sure you want to close this modal? (all data will be lost)
If a post is half-written and you need to step away, Save as Draft instead. Drafts sit on the calendar and never publish.
When you reopen a post that came from a content card, a See the content link at the top of the composer takes you back to the card on the Content board.
